About us
Williams Metalfinishing was founded by Bob Williams in 1975. Today it’s owned and operated by his sons, Lee and Kim. What started as a 4-person hand polishing shop has grown into a 35-employee production facility, combining our original hand-finishing craftsmanship with fully automated equipment for parts of any shape or size.

Vacuum Chambers
A client in the nuclear industry came to us in need of stainless steel sheets that would be used in the construction of vacuum chambers. This highly specialized industry requires the highest standards. On this project we needed to fabricate a custom designed sheet/plate polishing machine to handle the dimensions of the large sheets.

Freedom Tower
Each sheet weighed 80 lb and measured 96″ long, 48″ wide, and 16 ga thick. As construction was progressing, we were tasked with a very short turnaround time. We completed the 250 sheets in 1 week and delivered them to the construction site, fully meeting the customer’s requirements

Support Beams
To complete this polishing job, we made custom modifications to our polishing equipment. The beams were made from 304 stainless steel and measured 33′ long, 12″ wide, 1″ thick, and weighed 1,400 lbs. each. The finish required by the client was #6 pit-free brushed, which was very unique in such large pieces. Each beam was visually inspected for defects and a final quality inspection was performed
